Despite claims made by atheists, agnostics, disbelievers and other unfortunate individuals...
God rules the Universe.
PERIOD.
What ails America
The problem with America today is that she is totally forgetting and abandoning her roots. This is the end of America as we knew her. Americas founders built our nation on their faith in God. The reason America exists is because Europeans that desired to worship the almighty God, creator of the universe, were told that they couldnt! Those Europeans that believed in the Living God, the God of the Bible had to flee Europe and sail to the New World to be Free from tyranny.
The freedom America was founded on was to ensure that no American would ever be told when and where he or she could worship the Lord Almighty. Separation of Church and State was put into place to keep the state out of church. Not to keep church out of the state. America was founded on belief in God.
God is why there is an America
You cant change history. As a result, this country belongs to Him. If you do not want to worship God you dont have to. You are FREE to ignore God at your own peril. What you cannot do, however, is interfere with those of us that desire to pray in school, to recite the pledge of allegiance and to enjoy our religious rights afforded us under the US constitution.
The constitution reminds us...
...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Our very constitution acknowledges that our Creator has created us all equal. Our constitution was created to protect the core beliefs of all Americans, not just the atheists and the ACLU. When non-believers tell us that we can no longer say One nation under God in the Pledge of Allegiance they are interfering with our rights as Americans.
Americas Founding Fathers relied on God
Is there any doubt that George Washington relied on God for protection? Is there any doubt that he understood Jesuss command that we should love one another?
Now I make it my earnest prayer that God would have you and the State over which you preside, in His holy protection, that He would incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, to entertain brotherly affection and love for one another, for their fellow citizens and the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the field, and finally, that He would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.
The above words are sometimes referred to as Prayer for the Nation and actually came from a circular letter in which General Washington addressed to the governors of the thirteen states upon his disbanding the army, dated Newburg, June 8, 1783.
Need more proof?
Take a look at our Supreme Court building. It proudly displays the Ten Commandments. When you enter the Library of Congress you are greeted with the words In God we Trust. The Capital building itself boasts the words of Psalm 16:1, Preserve me, O God: for in Thee do I put my trust.
America was built on freedom of religion which means that atheists are allowed to believe what they want. While we may pity them and disagree with them we should not tell them they have no right to believe the way that they do. By the same token they cannot tell believers that we cannot pray at public school gatherings. My own children cannot pray in school because other so-called Americans somehow got prayer removed from school. I am not sure that this is something we should have ever done. We must now fight not only to regain this constitutionally guaranteed right to worship any way that we see fit, we must also fight to preserve our other religious freedoms before they are all stripped away, one by one by one.
Morning Prayer in School
When I was growing up our public schools in Blackwell, Oklahoma had a morning prayer EVERY morning. I remember as a child that most of my fellow classmates bowed their heads in prayer as well. Some did not. The ones that did not were within their right to do so. So were the ones that did bow their head. I prayed along with my classmates. Today my children have lost this heritage that I enjoyed. Is it any wonder why our schools have become battlegrounds? Is there any wonder why schools have gotten as bad as they are.
America is not the America she used to be. God has shown His favor on our nation since the beginning. Although He is slow to anger, He does anger. Do my fellow American believers even want to try to envision what that day will be like? When God gives up on America? It is time to take back our heritage. It is time to reclaim America before she is truly dead. As for the atheists and agnostics you are free to wallow in your ignorance. If you just cannot tolerate being around believers or if overhearing a prayer from one of us is just too much torture for you then you should find a country that was founded on your beliefs and values. Go live in a Godless country. There are many of them to choose from. America belongs to God. Love it or leave it.
Loving the Unlovely
Jesus commanded us to love one another. This includes atheists and agnostics. With all the atheistic web sites out there like NormalBobSmith.com (please pray for the salvation of this sicko. Forgive him the way Jesus forgave you.) I truly wonder just how many people in the world are really this completely uninformed.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most certain facts in history. The miracles he did were witnessed first hand by both believers and non-believers. Nobody who ever saw Jesus perform a miracle has denied that he performed the miracle. They just attributed the power to Satan.
God isnt Hard to Find
Finding God isnt so much a task for the mind as it is a task for the heart. If your heart is closed to the possibility of God then you will not find Him. If you seek Him with a willing heart, a heart willing to embrace the reality of His being, you will find Him. If your heart is hard you will not find God. Seek and ye shall find only works if you are willing to acknowledge what you find when you seek with an open heart. (Notice I didnt say Open Mind.)
The problem with most atheists is that they are convinced of their own superiority. They think that they know everything and leave no room for the possibility that they are wrong. With most of them they will never experience God because they are unwilling to even consider that they may be wrong, even about the tiniest thing. So much so that they refuse to examine the evidence of God, the Bible and Jesus. There is an abundance of evidence to support that the God of the Bible exists, as does Gods only begotten Son.
In Deuteronomy 4:29 God promises that to all who truly seek Him:
But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.
Notice that it doesnt say with half your soul or with some of your heart... Until you have buried your face in the floor and pleaded with God to intercede on your behalf you are never going to know God the way most believers know Him. As an all powerful, all knowing, holy and righteous God.
God isnt going to force himself on anyone. He took the form of Jesus to save us from eternal hell. He made it possible for us to spend eternity in paradise yet some choose to belittle His sacrifice. Justice will manifest itself, however, in the fact that they will have to answer to the Lord Almighty at the end of their lives.
Lets hope that when you stand before your creator that you have accepted His gift of eternal life through His son Jesus Christ.
